Paul Wright, M.D.

• Dr. Paul Wright is a corneal specialist, and one of first 40 surgeons in the world authorized to do IntraLASIK® all-laser LASIK procedures.
• In 1993 Dr. Wright was honored for his contribution to the field of eye care by being inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.
• Dr. Wright is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
• He received his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, and completed his postgraduate residency in ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma and the Dean McGee Eye Institute.
• Dr. Wright grew up in nearby Vale, South Dakota and currently resides in Hermosa, South Dakota, with his wife Lana.
• Dr. Wright is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and gardening.

Terry J. Wolthuis, O.D.

• Dr. Wolthuis has been specializing in ophthalmic and refractive clinic care since joining Wright Vision Center in 2006. He previously worked in private practice here in Rapid City and at the Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Hospital in Sturgis.
• Dr. Wolthuis graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science in 1999 and Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000, both from the Illinois College of Optometry.
• Dr. Wolthuis, and wife Kelly, have two very active children, Grant and Abby. In addition to spending quality time with the family, he enjoys golfing, hunting and fly-fishing.

Cris A. Mathews, P.A-C.

• Cris received her nursing degree from the Rapid City School of Nursing and later completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks.
• Cris has over 25 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology and is licensed with the South Dakota Board of Nursing, South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners, and the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
